Was ist eine .FAX-Datei?

A .fax file is a black-and-white fax document saved as a 1-bit raster image by fax modem software from the late 1980s through the 2000s. On Windows, XnView MP or IrfanView open most variants; on Mac, Preview often works. If it will not open, rename a copy to .tif and try again.
